The image of the Old North Church rising tall and proud over the historic North End is out region's most enduring symbol of the seminal role that colonial Boston played in shaping the principles and ideals that ignited the American War of Independence.
Although the Old North is not in its third century, we believe that it can play as relevant and important a role as it did on the evening of April 18, 1775. Our goal is to build on the extraordinary breadth and reach of the Old North by adding new depth to its interpretive, educational, and preservation initiatives.
We are developing and launching new programs that embody the Old North, transforming this great national landmark into a relevant source of inspiration and learning.
