We are pleased to announce two staff changes: educators Bernard Trubowitz and Tim Sistare have been promoted.
Bernard Trubowitz (pictured left) has taken over as Lead Educator in his third season at Old North. Bernard will be responsible for supervising and mentoring our educators, handling scheduling and payroll, and assisting with education-related programs as necessary. He’ll be in the office once a week and on the floor three times per week. We are delighted to retain such an intelligent, passionate, friendly, and humble person for yet another season and one who is at the beginning of a very promising museum career.
Tim Sistare (pictured right) will start a new position, Visitor Services Coordinator, next week. He has been an educator with us for about a year now, and he will handle visitor tracking and donations as well as tour reservations. He will also work with our educators to provide an excellent visitor experience for everyone who visits Old North, and he’ll be in the office twice a week and on the floor twice a week. Tim brings to us office and museum experience as well as a maturity and professionalism that has impressed our staff immensely.
We are confident that this specific division of labor will allow both Tim and Bernard to concentrate on their specific areas (visitors and educators) while assisting me as Director of Education in making our education department stronger than ever. We look forward to a successful season led by Bernard and Tim!
