In 2019 Old North Church & Historic Site welcomed over 150,000 visitors, hosted more than 20 public programs, opened a new exhibit space, shared new research findings about our site’s ties to slavery, and launched a multi-faceted process to grapple more deeply with our past and share new stories about Old North alongside our iconic ties to the American revolution. As we look toward the future, we need supporters like you to make our continued work in historic preservation, education, and civic engagement possible.
Your generous gift to Old North Church & Historic Site by December 31 will go to work:
- Crafting new educational programming for 2020 that will explore the vision and initiative it takes to forge new paths (as the Patriots did in 1775!) and work together for a larger good
- Increasing our capacity for more research into the history of Old North and the many people, known and as yet unknown, who have shaped this important place
- Supporting exhibits, public events, and outreach initiatives that reflect on our history and encourage conversations on how the past informs contemporary civic and social issues
- Preserving our iconic church, increasing accessibility to the site, and improving our gardens and other historic buildings
Since the founding of our nation, Old North has acted as a gathering place for active citizens. Today, we are proud to be considered among the preeminent keepers and tellers of the American founding story. With the help of generous supporters like you, we continue lighting the way for patriots, rebels, and all those who promote freedom.
