The Old North Foundation promotes values of freedom, liberty, and civic engagement through the interpretation and preservation of the Old North Historic Site, an enduring symbol of American independence. The Foundation serves a wide audience by creating meaningful experiences through educational outreach, site-specific programming, and historical analysis.

Steve Ayres Executive Director (617) 858-8231 ext. 103 email@example.com The Rev. Stephen T. Ayres has served as Vicar of the Old North Church since 1997 and as Executive Director of the Old North Foundation since 2012. Vicar Ayres was ordained as an Episcopal priest in 1980 and has served parishes in Missouri, New York, and Massachusetts. He has an undergraduate degree in Comparative Religion from Hamilton College, an M.Div. from the Episcopal Divinity School, and an MA in Urban Policy from Tufts University. At Old North, Vicar Ayres is responsible for the management and preservation of the historic site. He lives near the Bunker Hill Monument in Charlestown with his wife Lisa and son Matthew.
Pamela Bennett Director of Operations & Retail Services (617) 523-4848 (Gift Shop) firstname.lastname@example.org Pam has worked for Old North for more than twelve years. She was initially responsible for the managing and purchasing of one gift shop. Today the campus is home to three thriving retail operations with more planned for the future. Pam also manages the Foundation’s human resources, oversees the bookkeeper, and facilitates operational improvements. Prior to joining Old North, she worked for the Boston Symphony Orchestra for ten years. Pam lives in Chelsea with her cats Sadie and Saul and is the proud mother of her 24-year-old son Cole.
Kyra Destefano Gift Shop Manager (617) 523-4848 (Gift Shop) email@example.com Kyra has worked for the Old North Foundation for six years, moving through the ranks. She was originally hired as a sales associate, subsequently promoted to Key Holder, then to full-time Assistant Gift Shop Manager before being promoted yet again to Gift Shop Manager in 2016. Kyra is a 2010 graduate of Bridgewater State University. Originally from Melrose, Kyra now lives in Brighton with her roommate and their cat Darcy!
Tim Sistare Visitor Services Manager (617) 858-8231 ext. 109 firstname.lastname@example.org Tim manages tour reservations, visitor donations, and exploring ways to enhance the visitor experience. He also handles educator payroll and scheduling, assisting with teaching school programs, and writing and editing our history blog. You’ll also find him in the church twice a week giving talks and tours, mentoring our educators, and sharing as much about military history as he can! Previously, Tim served as an Educational Interpreter at the Higgins Armory Museum and as an office assistant for a busy local company. Tim is a graduate of Clark University in Worcester where he received his BA and MA in History and captained the swim team. He lives in Somerville with his girlfriend.
Erin Wederbrook Yuskaitis Director of Education (617) 858-8231 ext. 106 email@example.com Erin creates and develops new educational programs for school groups and the general public, including curriculum development, innovative public programming, and creative engagement with local audiences. She also recruits, trains, and manages a team of 20 educators. Erin worked as a weekend educator in the church for two years before joining the staff in September 2013. Prior to her position here, she spent seven years in nonprofit arts administration, primarily program and exhibition management in a wide variety of settings. She received her BA from the University of Virginia in art history and archaeology and her MA from the University of Alabama in American studies. Erin is completing the Museum Studies Certificate program at Tufts University and recently served as the Young Advisors Board President for the Boston Preservation Alliance. She currently serves on the Planning Committee of the Greater Boston Museum Educators Roundtable. She and her husband Chris, a pediatric neurologist, live in West Roxbury with their baby girl.
Tim Wenrich Sexton (617) 858-8231 Tim is responsible for the maintenance and functioning of all the buildings, systems, and grounds on the Old North campus. He joined the Old North Team in 2011. Prior to his work with Old North, Tim served in the US Navy after he graduated high school. He also has extensive experience in construction, and we are thankful for his expertise! Originally from New Hampshire, Tim now lives in the North End and is the proud uncle of Mason, Summer, and Jackson.
