Old North Church, formally Christ Church in the City of Boston, is among the oldest active Episcopal Church congregations in the country. Founded in 1723 to be a House of Prayer for All People, we welcome members, friends, and visitors from across the nation and world into our life together. For over 300 years the Old North community has transformed lives, built community, and brought hope through our ministry and witness.

Just like God’s kingdom, at Old North we have a conscious commitment to ensuring that there is room for all in our life together. This commitment is manifest in our worship life, in our outreach, in the community we create, in making a positive difference in the lives of our members, our visitors, and our neighbors.

They support staff salaries, choir and music, and outreach efforts, enabling us to engage with surrounding communities and welcome pilgrims who come because of our history—and take home an even deeper love of God. This is precisely what it means to be a House of Prayer for All People and an enduring symbol of faith and freedom—one in which there is room and welcome for all.

Some of our members are just starting their professional lives. Others are well established and have been blessed with abundant resources.
